WORK EXPERIENCE

Business Analyst

TSR Consulting - Citigroup - Getzville, NY

I worked at Citi as part of the Entity Data Management (EDM) team. In this role I created and maintained global reference data used by the other departments in the bank throughout the world. Our team would receive requests from internal employees to create, maintain, or delete client records. As a member of the EDM team, I would review and research the request and determine if it was applicable or not.

Tutor

Student Learning Center at The College at Brockport - Brockport, NY

I teach students how to use the programs in Microsoft Office to their fullest potential.  The College at Brockport offers multiple courses to learn these skills, so I clarify the concepts for each student and make sure they understand.  I also provide specified tutoring for only the Microsoft Excel program.  This tutoring is not associated with a class, but rather available for students who want to gain the skills.  My tutoring sessions are conducted one-on-one in order to give students my full attention.

Web Developer

Telecommunications Department at The College at Brockport - Brockport, NY

I worked for the Telecommunications department on campus and was in charge of managing their web pages.  I would review and revise the web pages they currently had and updated content as instructed.  I also created and edited forms that were used by faculty/staff, students, contractors, and service agencies.  This was my first exposure to web design, HTML, CSS, etc., so I spent a large portion of my time learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

INTERNSHIPS

Technology Intern

M&T Bank - Buffalo, NY

While at M&T Bank I was a part of the Technology Risk Management Team where I contributed to two major projects.  I spent a majority of my time recording, reviewing, and managing technology audit findings for the entire technology department in a database.  This gave me my first project of completely redesigning upper level management audit reporting to make it more efficient and useful.  The second project I worked on was reviewing and updating all Corporate Technology Standards the database and the actual documents themselves.  I also created web page layouts for the Technology Risk Management team's intranet pages.

Web Development Intern

Manage Your Business - Amherst, NY

Manage Your Business is a consultation company that assists other businesses in developing themselves.  I specifically worked on a project for Dawn Learning Center where I was designing and developing their website using WordPress.  This involved me determining the overall structure and navigation of the site, researching and writing content for most of the pages, and creating various forms.  I was also in charge of reviewing all web pages to ensure consistent format and appearance.

Marketing Intern

Solgari - Dublin, Ireland

This was a study abroad experience through The College at Brockport and their partners at EUSA.  Solgari is a unified cloud telecommunications vendor that was started in 2011.  I worked on their sales and marketing team.  My main responsibility was managing and cleaning up the potential customer and partner databases they currently had as well as the ones they purchased.  Part of managing these databases was researching companies and determining the correct contacts, also making the databases compatible to Salesforce™ which was the Client Relationship Manager we used on a daily basis.  Another part of my job was to conduct initial and follow-up sales calls to various companies in multiple countries including the United Kingdom, Australia, Ireland, Finland, and others.

Research Intern

Institute for Engaged Learning at The College at Brockport - Brockport, NY

I worked with a professor from the Department of Computing Sciences at the College at Brockport and conducted preliminary research multitasking with technology in an academic setting.  This research was a specific drill into one aspect of research that had previously been done by another student.  I found published research literatures that were seemingly related to the topic of multitasking with technology in an academic setting.  I reviewed each literature and wrote a report on its significance to our research, then I determined the most significant literatures and integrated the useful information into various visual aids.  This research was later presented to faculty, staff, and fellow students at the college's Scholar's Day event.
